Live steam. Methylated spirit. Solid brass & metal construction. Superb built from a Barrett Engineering kit.
It is in very good used condition & has some superb authentic features. Showing some usage signs and some minor transfer loss to the running number one side but still an excellent collectors live steam edition which would certainly enhance any collectors layout or collection.As a top steam collector has said a proper work horse loco.
Appears all complete with buffers, coupling's, pressure gauge, its burner & components, etc. Full of realistic detailing including its cab works with pressure gauge. Measures 54cm(L) x 8.5cm (W) x 13cm (H).
Specifications: Scale 10mm: 1ft, Fuel: Alcohol (Methylated spirit). Tender tank capacity 200ml, supplied by constant level feed system to wick burner. Capacity approx 35mm (dependent on load & speed),
Boilers: Internally fired, multi flue, with safety valve, Built from copper & bronze, silver soldered throughout. Test 200ps1 (13 BAR) Max allowable working pressure 100 ps1 (6.5 bar).
Controls Regulator, blower, water level test cock & pressure gauge. Cylinders: One 12.7mm dia x20mm stroke (1/2" x3/4"). Valve gear: Slip eccentric, slide valve, between frames. Lubrication Displacement (Rosco) type.
Water feeds: Water carried in the tender 350ml, Hand pump in the tender. General: Buffers & coupling hooks sprung. Wheels & axles are to Gauge One "Standard dimensions, Minimum radius 1.525m (5' 0")
It comes in a purpose made carry style wooden box which it will be carefully packed in for the posting/shipping of it. No instructions.
