Gauge 1, G1MC, Aster, BR, Britannia Class, 4-6-2 Loco & Six Wheel Tender Named "Flying Dutchman" R/N 70018.

Spirit fired live steam. Solid brass & metal construction. Purchased new and has been extensively up graded with enhancing features and with the addition of super detailing by the very well known Aster professional builder Dave Stick. One of his own personal display collection locos.

It also includes two sets of smoke deflectors, one original pair & one which is fitted to represent the prototype as it ran in the mid 1950s with Western Region hand-hold modifications.

It is fitted with a modified water tank in the tender increasing the water capacity for longer runs.

Modifications include:
An extended water tank built into tender to increase range. Front bogie re engineered to near scale wheelbase with added details.

Pony truck modified to more closely represent the full size truck outline. Most boiler/firebox mounted dummy valves replaced with Aster lost wax castings from 9F/5MT

Back head fittings modified for improved reliability and improved driving access. As mentioned its Smoke deflectors modified to represent those fitted to most of the Western Region Britannia class from the mid 1950s.

An unmodified deflector set is included as a substitute. Specification: Scale 1/32 – Gauge 1. Total length 67cm.

Meths Fired, Inside frame mounted slip eccentric, Dummy Walchaerts Multi- tube Copper Boiler with superheater, Extended regulator and blower handles,

Roscoe displacement lubricator with priming valve, axle pump water feed to boiler with Bypass Valve, Extremely simple and effective cylinder drain cocks.

Tender is fitted with water tank mounted hand pump and a removable coal load.

Unboxed but it will be carefully packed for the posting/shipping of it. No manuals or running instruction are included.

Overall a superb mint revised edition by as said by the famous professional live steam expert Dave Stick. An edition that would certainly enhance any collectors layout.
