The terms and conditions below do not affect your statutory rights

Prices are subject to change due to taxation changes or supplier price changes. We reserve the right not to supply and
to do so without providing any explanation (although in most cases this would be due to incorrect descriptions or prices
on this site).

Please only put an offer in or buy the item if you are serious about purchasing the item, if you are the winning purchaser,
you will be entering into a legally binding contract to purchase the item.

All items are available whilst stocks last and may be withdrawn at any time without notice.

All prices include VAT at 20% where applicable. Outside the EU we retain the VAT element of the product price and use it
to subsidise shipping costs for non EU customers. VAT is charged at the ruling rate on the day of dispatch. For orders paid
by credit/debit cards we do not charge your card at time of order. We instead charge the full order value when we ship the order.

We may charge a non-refundable deposit for items which are specially ordered or pre-dated order service.

Payments accepted are credit/debit cards either by direct telephone card sales or by paylink by Cheque (in Sterling,
drawn from a UK bank), Postal Order (in Sterling drawn from a UK Post Office), Bank transfer and by International Money
Order (in Sterling) or Paypal or on arrangement cash on collection.

Any refunds will be applied in Sterling to the credit/debit card or paypal account used to make the original purchase
where possible. Alternatively we will provide a cheque made out in Sterling.

All items sold are not for use by children under 36 months, some scale models are not recommended for children under 14.
Particular steam locomotive, do contact us with any concerns.

Outside of the EU you are also responsible for Customs & Excise charges including any import duties.

Pre Orders
- Prices displayed (if any) are supplied by the manufacturer and are subject to change by the manufacturer, therefore these
are not fixed prices. You will be asked to confirm all pre orders before payment whether the price has changed or not, no
money will be taken until you have confirmed the order.
- Holding pre ordered items: We will only hold pre ordered items for up to 14 days from customer notification, unless prior
arrangements have been confirmed.
Electricity:
All electrical plugs and transformers are not tested for electrical safety prior to dispatch. We accept no liability for second
user items, we are not qualified electricians and as such strongly urge you to check all plugs and wiring before use. In the case
of new electrical items these will of course come with the original manufacturers guarantees.
Pictures, images and descriptions:
As you can see we spend a lot of time on photographing our items which do form part of the description, we do this so you can
clearly see what the condition is like and if there is any defects marks etc on the item. We also try to publish as much information
as we have about the item.
When things go wrong:
We appreciate that occasionally we may let a customer down - if we fail to meet your expectations please let us know - we value
feedback and believe all complaints are an opportunity to improve our service. You can contact us via the 'Contact Us' link at the top of this page.
We will acknowledge all complaints/feedback within 3 working days and update you as to how long the problem will take to
investigate, all items are taken seriously and the decision agreed with one of our Senior Managers.
Damaged or broken items:
If one of your purchases is damaged upon receipt please again contact us for information on how to solve the problem.
For faulty items we will also issue a credit note to cover your postage costs of returning a faulty item to us. We do not
repay the costs of Recorded, Special, Airmail or Courier deliveries. Neither will we cover the cost of returning an entire
set where only one item in the set is faulty. We cannot be held responsible for returned items going missing or being damaged
in the post.
Postage & Packaging:
All of our items offered for sale are all available for posting unless otherwise stated. We post all over the world including
the UK. We usually use new sturdy boxes and are well known for our packing abilities of being packed very well. All
posting is sent by Signed Delivery Services only Royal Mail & Other, Postage costs quoted are non-negotiable. Postage cost are
at cost plus a small fee to cover packing materials, admin and handling, this is normally a small amount in the region of £1.00
- £3.00 per parcel depending on size and materials required. All shipping originates from UK Mainland. Posting is normally
conducted within 48 hours of cleared payment being received but sometimes we get busy so please be patient and we will post your item as soon as is possible.
Changing your mind:
UK customers have the right to a 14 day cooling off period starting from the day after the date of receipt of your goods without giving a reason for
the return. You simply pay the cost of returning the items to us. We will refund any money due to you within 14 days of such a
cancellation. Postal charges & service charges are not refundable.
We are unable to refund or replace items until they are received by ourselves - you are advised to insure the parcel. All
items returned for refund or replacement under the 14 day cooling off period must be in original unopened packaging and in
resalable condition - as an example you should do no more than examine an item as you would in a shop prior to purchase.
We are unable to accept items back after the 14 day cooling off period expires.
Your privacy:
The Station Master Ltd is registered under the Data Protection Act 1998. Should you have any concerns about your privacy please
contact our Managing Director, Kevin Finch using our contact us page. We collect information about you based upon the facts
given at the time of ordering or registering. All information is collected by The Station Master is for their use, some
information may be shared with our bank for the approval of credit card transactions (this may include the given card holders
name & address), and our couriers to allow the swift delivery of your goods. All information is collected lawfully and in
accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Information is for the use of The Station Mater Ltd in operating our retail
business and is used solely for the purpose. You have the right to opt in to marketing material via our order process (you
must choose to receive marketing material when ordering or via the automated newsletter subscription links on our website before
we will market to you). In accordance with the Privacy & Electronic Communications Act - "We do not send random marketing emails
to personal email addresses (spam). This website uses cookies.
